President's Message

Dear Colleagues,
I would like to Thank Chef David Wolf, CEC, and the Hyatt on Capitol
Square for hosting our March general meeting. The food, service and
hospitality were exceptional. I would also like to Thank Chef Whilfred
Beriau from Portland, Maine for a very informative educational program
on Maine Lobsters. The presentation and demonstration was fantastic and
very well received by all who attended.
The Northeast Regional Conference of the American Culinary Federation
was held in Cincinnati on April 4 thru 7 and was well attended by our
chapter. We had over 20 members in attendance. The ACF Columbus Chapter
received a Chapter Achievement Award from the Northeast Regional Vice
President Chef Mark Wright, CEC, AAC. Chef David Wolf, CEC received a
national Presidential Medallion from our national President Chef John
Kinsella, CMC, AAC.
Our annual fundraiser with Children’s Hunger Alliance A Taste to
Remember will be held on Wednesday May 21, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00
p.m. at the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium. If you would like to volunteer
please contact Jim Taylor.
I hope to see all of you at our next general meeting that will be held
at Sysco Central on Harrison Road.
