ACF Columbus

The American Culinary Federation Columbus Chapter was founded in the early 1960's and currently has over 450 members.

The Chapter has Active, Junior, and Associate members comprised of chefs, cooks, culinary educators, culinary apprentices, culinary students, business owners, purveyors, and food service professionals from all over Central Ohio.

Our members are very active locally, regionally, nationally and internationally, and we were named National Chapter of the Year by the American Culinary Federation in 1984 and 1997.

Each year our members work hard to help raise funds for various charitable organizations including Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Columbus, Columbus State Community College's "Taste the Future", The Ohio Hunger Task Force, and the Chef and the Child Foundation.

In education, the ACF Columbus Chapter works with Columbus State Community College's Apprenticeship Program. Chef members employ, train, and mentor apprentices in a three-year program registered with the U.S. Department of Labor.

Our chapter also works closely with students enrolled in a two-year Culinary Arts Program at Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio.

Both educational programs are accredited by the National American Culinary Federation Educational Institute's Accrediting Commission. Our chapter also maintains scholarship endowments at Columbus State Community College and at Hocking College.

We welcome all interested chefs, cooks, culinary educators, culinary students, business owners, purveyors, and food service professionals to join our local chapter and experience the many benefits of membership in the American Culinary Federation.
